How It All Began
Goldie and Kurt met while filming The One And Only, Genuine, Original Family Band, which was released in 1968. They eventually got their happily ever after, but didn’t start dating right away. At the time, Russell had only appeared in three other movies, and this was Hawn’s very first feature film! Awwww, such babies.

Age: Not Just A Number
Although Goldie and Kurt hit it off on set, they wouldn’t start their relationship just yet. There was one thing in the way – Kurt’s age. In an interview with BBC, Goldie said of Kurt back then, “I thought he was adorable, but he was much too young.” Goldie was also young (21), but 16-year old Kurt was just too much of a stretch. Later in life, the five year age gap would stop mattering completely.
