Hollywood is where the masses turn their heads to in order to escape from it all. We turn to the entertainment industry to feel joy, love, mirth, and anger at the intricate displays television and film showcase before us. However, those emotions aren’t always feigned while on stage. Sometimes actors really do fall in love with one another and they take that romance out into the real world. We decided to dig deep in order to find 18 superstar actors who blended the lines between reality and fiction and ended up falling in love on set. Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco.
Sitcom romances usually kill a show, but those are typically between characters — not actual actors. The Big Bang Theory saw their two lead actors, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco, get into a real relationship back in 2010. Despite their on screen characters needing to work with each other almost every day, Galecki and Cuoco kept things on the down low for as long as possible. Eventually the couple would break up after two years of dating but they remained friends and the show has gone on, no anxiety self help needed.
Blake Lively and Penn Badgley.
Gossip Girl was one of those seminal shows for teenagers back in the mid aughts and Blake Lively and Penn Badgley were routinely stealing the scenes when they were on screen. Lively and Badgley started dating after meeting on set in early 2007 and they would proceed to date until 2010. When Badgley and Lively were on screen together there was true chemistry in action and it makes sense, as their characters Serena and Dan were married in the season finale.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
No Hollywood romance will ever be able to trump that of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Pitt and Jolie got together after co-starring in the action flick Mr and Mrs Smith and the rest was history. Pitt had been married to Jennifer Aniston at the time, which added to a ton of controversy, but its clear Jolie and Pitt are anything but a fling. Pitt and Jolie have 6 children together and they still maintain their status as the top stars in the game despite undergoing a pesky divorce battle.
Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen.
Hayden Christensen was, at one point in time, just another promising young actor with huge career aspirations. Then Star Wars happened and Hayden become an international superstar. Though Christensen had his critics for his work in Star Wars his co-star in the 2007 action film Jumper, Rachel Bilson, was not one of them. Bilson and Christensen have been together since 2007 and they now have one beautiful daughter together, born back in 2014. Except for a short break in 2010, Bilson and Christensen are one of the most adorable and happy couples on our list — no treatment for anxiety needed!
Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas.
These two actors met on set of the hit ABC show Once Upon a Time back in 2011. On that show Goodwin played Snow White while Josh Dallas played Prince Charming, so it seemed destined that the pair would eventually start dating. Lo and behold, the two took their romance off screen and into the public eye.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux.
Actor Justin Theroux is living every Friends fanatic dream after hooking up with Jennifer Aniston in 2011 on set of the comedy Wanderlust. Aniston and Theroux are both super active in Hollywood but that hasn’t slowed down their romance. Theroux and Aniston met in 2011, were engaged in 2012, and married in the year 2015. Now baby bump rumors have begin swirling around Aniston which we can only imagine means a child is on the way!
Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz.
Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz are two cute of a couple to even exist, but here they are. The duo met on set of the 2007 film Jamon, Jamon and were married by 2010. Since their marriage the pair has had two children together and they are still going strong and still sporting the sickest accents in all of Hollywood.
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams officially became #couplesgoals in their 2004 film The Notebook. Though their relationship start out very rocky, with fights on set and a reported request to have McAdams thrown from the project, things heated up pretty quickly. McAdams and Gosling would go on to date after the filming of the movie for almost four years. Ryan Gosling is apparently the type of boyfriend you don’t want to have female co-workers. Gosling and actress superstar Eva Mendes met on set of the underrated film, The Place Beyond the Pines which followed several different stories told over several generations of time. Gosling and Mendes have been together since the filming of the movie and Mendes is even having Gosling’s child. Good for them!
Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter.
Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter met on set of the hit show Dexter in which they played adopted siblings. The two eloped in 2008 while working on the series and they stayed together until 2011. Despite their divorce both Michael and Jennifer kept their on set relationship professional, working together on the series up until 2013.
Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin.
From X-Men to life as a vampire in True Blood, Anna Paquin has been living it up for years. Paquin met her on screen co-star Stephen Moyer at the audition for True Blood and things have since heated up. The two have been dating for years before marrying in 2010. The couple has a pair of twins together.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Stewart and Pattinson met on set as Bella and Edward in the hit film series Twilightback in 2009. The couple kept their relationship on the down low, as much as possible for stars of the biggest film on the planet at the time, and managed to stay together until 2014. Stewart would end up being caught cheating on Pattinson.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck.
We approach a pair of Hollywood royalty in Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. These two superstars met on set of the critically panned superhero film Daredevil back in 2003. Though the film was trash their romance was not and the two were quickly married and expecting children. Affleck and Garner have been together for over a decade now and though things have gotten rocky they are still hanging on.
Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
You may want to tear your ears off whenever High School Musical tracks play but you cannot deny just how good looking the two stars of the show are in Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron. This superstar couple met during the filming of the TV movie back in 2006 and they dated, quite publicly, until 2010. While everyone wanted the couple to succeed it was just not meant to be.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.
Liam Hemsworth, brother to superstar Chris Hemsworth, was the last guy who came close to settling down pop sensation Miley Cyrus. The two met while filming The Last Song and thus began an on again – off again relationship. Rumor has it that Hemsworth wanted to propose to Miley Cyrus!
Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz.
Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz are probably the coolest couple in the world though most people would be hard pressed to guess that they were even dating. The pair met back in 2010 during the filming of The Dream House and they were turned around and married by 2011. Since then Craig has turned into a Hollywood superstar as James Bond and Weisz continues to steal the screen in any of her work.

Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar met on set of I Know What You Did Last Summer back in 1997. They would go on to co-star in the Scooby Doo Movie in the early 200s. However they started dating back in 1997 and have been together ever since, marrying in 2002 and having a pair of children with one another.
Rose Leslie and Kit Harington.
Kit Harington has turned into one of the biggest stars in the world thanks to his incredible performance as Jon Snow in the hit show Game of Thrones. Rose Leslie played Kit’s on screen romantic partner, the fiery Ygritte, and it appears that their passion on screen quickly followed them off of it.
