Keith Olbermann’s Mistaken Tweet
Social media – it makes it so easy for us to get out our ideas quickly, and perhaps without thinking about the consequences. Keith Olbermann fell victim to the same trap as the rest of us. When a student tweeted Olbermann about Penn State’s pediatric cancer fundraiser, Olbermann didn’t response so nicely. The link included the school chant “We Are…” to which Olbermann replied, “…pitiful”. He apologized, but what a response to a cancer fundraiser to benefit sick children. In Olbermann’s own words – “pitiful.”

ESPN Favors Ben Roethlisberger
The sports scandal of 2009 revolved around Ben Roethlisberger. The Pittsburgh Steelers QB was accused of sexual assault – and it was all everyone was talking about. Everyone, that is, besides ESPN. The network decided not to run with the story before more evidence emerged. Nice reporting, ESPN…or lack thereof.
