Joe approached his mother, but she claimed Jennife was overreacting. “I just bumped her when I walked past,” she replied calmly. The exhausted husband realized he couldn’t listen to his mother. So he devised a strategy to keep an eye on her while he was away. Joe realized that not everyone would be happy. He didn’t anticipate he’d soon have to choose between his wife and his mother.
