There is no denying the influence that witnessing “The Sound of Music” has had on anybody who has ever seen it. Debbie Turner was allowed to star in the picture despite being only ten years old at the time of its release. Turner created the character Marta von Trapp. After that, she focused entirely on her education. She only appeared in another film once, North Dallas Forty, in 1979. Turner and Richard Larson’s marriage began in 1980. We haven’t seen Turner since her cameo appearance on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in 2019.
