Dan’s photo went viral. It got so much attention that the town’s police department became aware of it. Officers showed up at Dan’s house but not to congratulate Dan on the viral photo. They came to tell him that laws in Waterford Township (where Dan lived) do not allow people living there to own a pit bull nor a dog whose breed is mixed with pit bulls. The police informed Dan that he had to choose between returning Diggy to where the dog came from and facing legal consequences.
