It did not take long before the incredible story went viral on social media. Of course, it also made headlines. People were amazed to hear the decision Mead made as well as to learn that it is that easy to get a tank. We are sure very few of them even knew it was legal. We suppose that people who dreamt of building their own personal armies know now better. Reports tracked down the person who sold the tank on eBay as well. Apparently, he did not express any bitter sentiments about the gold. According to him, however, he wanted to get a pint of beer with Mead if the buyer decided to keep it.
