Taken from outside, this photograph shows a small crowd waiting to get into Studio 54. Before owners Steve Rubell and Ian Schrager made their move to turn this site into a club, the space was used as a theater. At this time everyone was doing whatever they could in order to get into the prestigious nightclub. In many cases it meant dressing as bizarrely as possible.
