They originally met during a polo tournament in 1970 and dated for a while. Then they split up and married and had children with other people – Prince Charles married Princess Diana in front of over 750 million people around the world, while Camilla married Andrew Parker Bowles in a far less public ceremony. The two had always stayed in touch, and rumors of an affair began in the 1980s. They eventually divorced their spouses, and the couple made their first public appearance together in 1999. The couple finally got engaged in 2005, and two months later they married.
