Research shows that animals go through lots of trauma and stress when in animal shelters, with pregnant dogs at a higher risk. Although shelters do great things, and have the intention of helping dogs, their sub-par conditions make them not the best place for the long-term. A warm, loving home like the one Mariesa and Chris provide, is a much better option.
