On March 30, 1985, Bobby and Cheryl got married. He was 34 years old and she was only 21. Shortly after, the newlyweds welcomed their first child, who they named Jasmine. Two years later, their daughter Jessica was born. Eleven years after that, they had twins and named them Jordan and Justin.

Bobby worked two jobs. Despite only getting two hours of sleep a night, he was still such an attentive father. Other than work, Bobby became active in church, volunteered, and attended community meetings. His life seemed perfect. However, this huge secret was still looming behind it all. Walter told the New York Daily News that he would tell his wife this: “I’m not going anywhere unless somebody takes me.”
