Utah – Footloose (1984)
Even if you haven’t seen the movie Footloose yet, you’re definitely familiar with the lyrics of a handful of the songs included in it. This is a classic musical starring a young Kevin Bacon in the lead role. This story revolves around a young man who relocates to a tiny town and embarks on a quest to overturn the town’s dance ban. If you ask us, the plot would not have worked as well as it did if the film had been shot in Utah rather than other locations.

Vermont – Super Troopers (2001)
Has it occurred to you that we have a plethora of cult classics on our list? Super Troopers is a film about five state troopers who make a mess of their lives in a fictional Vermont town called Spurbury. By attempting to solve a crime, they attempt to perform a better job than the local police agency does. Does it seem like there’s any way for this movie to get any more Vermont-centric? We were under the impression that this was the case. Also, we really apologize if we prompted you to think of the Abba song “Super Trouper”!
