Because we had just finished discussing the 1960s television series Lost in Space, we felt compelled to mention Mark Goddard in this piece. Because of his experience on the show, he was able to gather enough material for two books; the first, titled Three Years Lost in Space, was published in 2016. Don West is most known for his performance in The Detectives, but he is also noted for his work with Johnny Ringo. Mark is now 83 years old and has retired from his career. We last saw him on TV in the episode “Lost in Space: The Epilogue.”

Billy Dee Williams, who was in his forties at the time, was cast as Lando Calrissian, Han Solo’s old buddy, in the film The Empire Strikes Back. To play the same part nearly four decades later.
