North Dakota – Fargo (1996)
It is hardly an exaggeration to say that not much happens in North Dakota these days. At the very least, residents can take pride in the knowledge that this film was filmed in their hometown. The story revolves around a pregnant police chief who is investigating a string of roadside deaths after a car dealer hires two criminals to abduct his wife and demand a ransom from them.

Ohio – Heathers (1989)
The 1980s had proven to be a particularly fruitful decade for high school movies. Despite this, we believe that Heathers, a film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater that takes set in Ohio, is the greatest of the four. This film is, without a doubt, bizarre and odd, but we cannot deny that it is also a great deal of fun at the same time.
