Despite the fact that this film does not have the best reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, it has maintained its place as a cult classic since its release in 1996. It follows Helen Hunt in the role of Jo Harding as she goes on a tornado hunt as a means of coping with the trauma caused by her father’s death. Helen Hunt plays Jo Harding. We adore a well-executed big-screen adaptation of a fantastic novel. One hundred percent of the time, this film comes into that category. Once again, Jack Nicholson demonstrated that he possesses the acting skills necessary to portray any character to a tee. Nobody else in the industry compares to him in any way! The character of a criminal who claims insanity and is committed to a mental institution was cast for him in this picture. He soon discovers, though, just how terrible the mental health system can be in practice.
