Alaska – Insomnia (2002)
This 2002 film is an adaptation of a Norwegian film that was shot in the United States. The film starred Al Pacino as a detective deployed to a small town named Nightmute to assist a police officer played by Hilary Swank in her role as the town’s chief of police. The two of them work together to track down a serial killer, played by actor Robin Williams.

Perhaps no other film about growing up is as widely known than this one. The words “Ugh, as if” can be heard coming from Alicia Silverstone. Cher, played by the actress Cher, gave us some of her most memorable looks as she befriends a new student named Tai Frasier. Amy Heckerling, the film’s director, conducted extensive research into how real children at Beverly Hills School spoke and behaved in order to guarantee that she got it properly. As far as we’re concerned, the cast did an excellent job, and, as an added bonus, the film was partially based on the novel “Emma” by Jane Austen.
