Florida – Moonlight (2016)
Despite the fact that Florida receives a lot of negative attention, there are some positive aspects to the state as well. For starters, this was the setting for the film Moonlight. There’s a reason why this incredible coming-of-age film was awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture in the first place. We adored everything about it from beginning to end. Wasn’t it fascinating to watch how the film dealt with issues such as discovering one’s own identity and childhood abuse?

It is not a secret that Hawaii is a beautiful place. In 1953, From Here to Eternity was shot in this state. It follows three American soldiers right before Pearl Harbor was attacked. Private Robert E. Lee Prewitt is transferred to a rifle company posted in Oahu and gets punished for his refusal to box for the unit. Lilo and Stitch is a close second to this war flick.
