Massachusetts – Good Will Hunting (1997)

Good Will Hunting, starring Matt Damon and Robin Williams, was released in the mid-’90s and was a critical and commercial success. His portrayal of the main character is excellent, and he does a fantastic job of making the genius janitor come to life. After being charged with assaulting a police officer, he agrees to a deferred prosecution deal. This is the point at which the character begins seeing a therapist and taking advanced mathematics classes with the professor, who is played by Williams!

Minnesota – The Mighty Ducks (1992)

You must have seen this movie when you were a kid, as well. What do we even do with this? Where do we even begin? A Minnesota statute requires him to volunteer as a coach for a kids hockey league as part of his community service. This is a fantastic representation of the spirit of the 1990s! Because of this, we shall be admirers of it for the rest of our lives. Who knew that Emilio Estevez, the actor who brings Gordon Bombay to life on screen, was also Charlie Sheen’s younger brother? Cool.
